5 stars (Breathes the fire that Dragon lacks...) - For ease of use and set-up, IBM wins hands down. Dragon is a bit more cumbersome for a non-techie type of person. For doctoral student applications, IBM wins hands down. IBM's word training tool is really great to customize your main dictionary area. Dragon doesn't seem to have the same flexibility. I only wish it would have better connection capabilities with handheld digital recorders. Dollar for dollar, IBM can't be beat.
