5 stars (Starwars Battlefront) - As you know, battlefront takes placein the actual star wars wars. For example, Remember back in Episode V? when they fight in HOth, well, you get to play in that battle, and drive the big AT-AT's or the AT-ST's. also if you choose to be the rebles, you may play in the snowspeeders and harpoon the AT ATs down! also in episode II where they are in genosis, you get to fly the republic gunner ship. man is that fun.
the controlls are soo easy to get used to, they are just like James Bond games or Halo. you can change the game point of view from 1st person to 3rd person, personally i like 1st persong.
some errors i find about this game, is that many times i find myself being killed by no one, as if the guy is invisale. but i get used to it. its not too much of a problem, who knows, i may be blind :). so far thats the only glitch i have found. i have had this game for a couple of months now.
instant actionand golatic conquest are the best modes in this game. also i would reccumend getting Battlefront II some time.
5 stars (Battlefield in a Star Wars setting) - Star Wars Battlefront is pretty much the same thing as any of the Battlefield games: giant, open ended battles that have infantry and vehicle combat. You can play as the rebels, the empire, the republic or the trade federation droid army. It has five different infantry classes. They are assault, sniper, anti-vehicle, pilot and a unique unit for each army. The rebels unique units are wookiees, The empire has dark troopers, the republic has jet troopers, and the trade federation has droidekas (destroyer droids). The AI is good for the most part. They dive for cover when a grenade is thrown their way and they use vehicles well. However, the AI does have a few problems such as their weird urge to get to a gun turret. Tons of times I've seen one of my troops go running away from a firefight to get to the nearest turret when we needed him at the battle. Also, whenever your reinforcement count drops below twenty-five or so (right when your about to lose) , all of your troops jump out of their vehicles and refuse to get back in them, even when you order them to. Yes, that also includes the guys in aircraft as well. Every one of your troops in fighters and gunships jump out and fall to their deaths, which does not help your chances of winning. Other than that, this game is great. You can pilot tanks, speeders and the giant AT-AT, which can effortlessly crush the rebel defenses on the massive Hoth level. As for aircraft, you can fly the X-wing, Y-wing, Snowspeeder, TIE Fighter, TIE Bomber, Droid Starfighter, Droid Gunship, Jedi Starfighter and the Republic LAAT/i Gunship, which can hold a crew of five (pilot, wing turret gunner, left ball gunner, right ball gunner and a passanger). The aircraft are difficult to control at first, but they aren't too bad with practice. As for infantry combat, everything works smoothly. There is a grenade button and diving to the left or right to avoid enemy fire is easy. If you love Star Wars and games with chaotic, open ended battles, this is for you.
5 stars (The best game ever made!) - I am a big fan of star wars(exept the third) and when I saw this game I had to buy it. If you like games were you along with many others fight? well this is it join your fellow commards in the bigest battle of all you can re-live all the battles in the movie and more! you can drive ANY veiciel in the moveis (that has to do with battles) and beat up the enimies. Even though I've beaten this game over and over on hard easy and medium it never gets boring and the types of weapons there are boy oh boy theres a lot and each has its own purpose big missile louncers to hand guns the have it all and every were you play it has diffrent viecles and everthing! its amazing!use thermel detonatores to blast guys around conclusion detonators to destroy veicles and much more tell your men what to do and they will do it!If you love the movie than you cando historical challenge gallactic conquest for taking over the galixe and if you just want to play you can do instant play. I recomend this game to any one who wants to kill guy after guy die and start all over!!!! |
